This was a small, intimate wedding on October 8th for Madison, Caleb, and their daughter as the flower girl. I loved the vintage old Hollywood style of the bride and groom with the bride’s bright red lipstick and the groom’s pinstripe suit. I had a great end to my photography season with two end of the year weddings on the 27th and 28th of December. It’s now time to catch up on any photo editing and wedding albums etc. I still have to finish. Engagement pictures at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island

I had a fun winter engagement session at Pawleys Island’s Caledonia Golf & Fish Club this past weekend. This is a beautiful former site of a southern rice plantation located along the Waccamaw River. The best feature here is the entrance roadway. It’s surrounded by centuries old live oak trees with their moss covered branches overhanging the roadway. I’ve noticed for engagement pictures in Myrtle Beach. Couples are usually looking for either beach pictures or for an area with a lot of large trees where the sunlight can filter through the moss. Winter wedding at the Doubletree Resort in Myrtle Beach

This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Doubletree Resort by Hilton since it changed owners. They have recently done some remodeling that makes it a much nicer location for weddings then when it was the Springmaid Resort.  The large room where receptions are held still has the look of a conference center with fluorescent type lighting. Surprise engagement proposal on a beautiful winter evening in Myrtle Beach

I always love the Myrtle Beach State Park at sunset in the winter. This time of the year the sky just seems clearer and the water is more blue. I don’t know if it’s perhaps the lower humidity or just the difference in the angle of the sunset.
