It’s now the Safe Harbor Reserve Harbor Marina Clubhouse. This location highlights the beauty of the Pawleys Island area, with the ancient oak trees covered in moss and a boardwalk through the forest that goes out onto the Waccamaw River. This was my first time photographing a wedding at the historic Kaminski House Museum in Georgetown. This is located at the end of the Harborwalk on the Sampit River in Georgetown. This house was built back in the mid 1700’s by a wealthy SC merchant. Sometimes I forget what a long history Georgetown has. After many renovations and changes, this is a very beautiful area for a wedding ceremony. It seems like I’ve had a lot of weddings and photo sessions recently at the Conway Riverwalk. It’s a beautiful alternative location for pictures if you want to get away from the beach. This is my first time doing a wedding at the newly renovated 104 Laurel Street event venue in Conway, SC. It’s located right near the south end of the Conway Riverwalk, very close to the old Peanut Warehouse. In fact, in this one weekend, I had a wedding at the Peanut Warehouse on Saturday, then on Sunday I had this wedding at 104 Laurel. For both weddings I took the couples down to the Riverwalk for some beautiful pictures. The Pelican Inn is a bed and breakfast built in the mid-1800s in the beautiful Pawleys Island, SC area. While the house itself is not very impressive looking from the outside, it’s in a perfect location between the salt marsh and beach, surrounded by old oak trees and greenery. It’s a unique spot, and I don’t know of any other wedding location in the area quite like it. The inside of the house has a very rustic look but is clean and air conditioned. This was my first time taking engagement portraits at the Vereen Memorial Historical Gardens in Little River, SC. This area has a lot of hiking trails and boardwalks over the salt marshes. It is located right next to the Intracoastal Waterway. This couple wanted to bring their two dogs to the engagement pictures so it’s great that the Vereen Memorial Gardens is very dog friendly, we saw a lot of people walking around with their pets. I always love photographing weddings down near the inlet area of Pawleys Island. This wedding was small and relaxed without a large bridal party. The bride was getting ready at her parent’s home and the ceremony was at the small chapel on the marsh in Pawleys Island. The chapel is really lovely because the big windows overlooking the marsh let in a lot of soft light that hits the couple during the ceremony.
