I like that I’m photographing more weddings lately at the Members Club. It’s a stunning location on the golf course with a great interior and a large ballroom. This new blended family had children from previous marriages as part of the wedding party. This was the last of my three consecutive weddings in two weekends at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club. This was a really big wedding with a large bridal party, a reception in the main ballroom and a great live band. I sent my assistant over to take pictures with the groom and groomsmen as they got ready at Pawleys Plantation. I went over to Litchfield Plantation where the bride was getting ready. I’ve had a very busy October this year with weddings. In fact, I had three weddings in two weeks at one of my favorite locations, Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club. The wedding I’m featuring below was a small relaxed one. This gave me more time for taking pictures with the bride and groom after the ceremony. It’s been a while since I’ve photographed a wedding at the Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, so it was very nice to be back. Alexandra and Derek, the bride and groom, are both school teachers. A lot of the wedding decorations and details featured books and related items. I especially liked the classic typewriter they had on the entrance table with a poem typed out on the paper. I always have a lot of fun photographing weddings at the Ocean Club at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. My latest beach wedding for Sara and John was no exception. Sara had me arrive a little earlier then usual to start taking pictures, about 2 1/2 hours before the ceremony. This turned out to be a good idea with 11 groomsmen and 9 bridesmaids in the party! I had a lot of fun shooting bridal portraits at Upper Mill Plantation this past spring. This bride and groom just got married at the plantation on Saturday, so I’m now able to post some of these pictures. Upper Mill Plantation has a lot of pretty photography spots. We started out walking to the pond near the entrance to the area. This marsh area has lots of moss covered oak trees growing from water. I had a lot of fun photographing a recent surprise marriage proposal in Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet. April is a great time of the year for taking pictures in Brookgreen. The springtime flowers are blooming and they also have extended hours until 8pm. Normally the gardens close at 5pm so it would be impossible to get the beautiful light from the sunset filtering through the trees. Surprise engagement proposal on a beautiful winter evening in Myrtle Beach

I always love the Myrtle Beach State Park at sunset in the winter. This time of the year the sky just seems clearer and the water is more blue.
