This was the last of my three consecutive weddings in two weekends at Pawleys Plantation Golf and Country Club. This was a really big wedding with a large bridal party, a reception in the main ballroom and a great live band. I sent my assistant over to take pictures with the groom and groomsmen as they got ready at Pawleys Plantation. I went over to Litchfield Plantation where the bride was getting ready. This was the same location where I did engagement pictures with the couple previously. Litchfield Plantation has a beautiful entrance roadway that is covered by old oak trees and moss. We had a few minutes after the girls got dressed for some beautiful pictures of them surrounded by the trees.
Benjy Simmons officiated the ceremony and he always does a great job. I always like to get a closeup of the rings as he presents them on his bible to the couple. The bride got very emotional when walking with her father, I always make sure to get a lot of pictures of the bride and groom when they see each other for the first time during the ceremony. After the ceremony I was able to get some nice shots with the bridesmaids and groomsmen together. I loved the Converse All Star shoes that were worn by the girls after the ceremony. I’ve been to Pawleys Plantation so many times that I know all the great spots for pictures. The sun was a little higher in the sky then I would have liked, but we got some beautiful pictures at one of my favorite spots by an old tree on the marsh. We ran short on time during the pictures, the only thing we missed out on was some pictures with the clubhouse in the background like I posted last week.
The bride loved the decorating that Teresa Stiegmann from Elegant Occasions had done in the main ballroom, she always does a fantastic job. I’ve never seen it decorated quite like that before. They had a special long wooden table where the entire wedding party could sit together in front of the dance floor. They also had the David Higgins Band that was a lot of fun and really got everyone dancing. This was one of the best weddings I’ve had where everyone from the grandparents to young people got out on the dance floor and had a great time.
