I did my first traditional Indian wedding at the Grande Dunes Members Club in Myrtle Beach. It was an experience I’ll always remember and a really beautiful event. It’s amazing how intricate and heavy an Indian wedding dress is. I loved how many colors there were during the ceremony with the bride’s dress and the flowers. I think my favorite shot was the bride walking down the aisle and the groom still hidden from her view. My new Nikon 70-200 f2.8 lens really makes this picture pop. I also loved the picture of the bride from overhead, where you can see all the details of her dress flowing around her. I took 1600 shots in a little over 6 hours, I went a bit overboard. They won’t really need a video of the wedding with that many pictures. I hope you enjoy the picture below. Please let me know if the comments if you do.
Update 2014:
This is one of my popular weddings for people to view, keep in mind this was from early 2009, I was just in my first year of wedding photography and had a fraction of the gear I have now. I still love this wedding, but it would be amazing if I shot it again now. Hopefully, I’ll have another Indian wedding someday
