Fun family pictures for the second half of 2021 in Myrtle Beach

A couple of times a year now I’ve been trying to post some of my favorite family and senior portraits from the last few months. These are all from the Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island area. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you can see these pictures and many more as well. To see my favorite pictures from July of 2021 and before click here.

Some highlights from my pictures posted below. I’ve been having more clients want to take family pictures at the Calidonia Golf and Beach Club. This is a beautiful spot if you want to get away from the beach, and have the look of the mossy oak trees in the background. With their closing time of 7 pm or before, pictures here are better before the late sunset and heat of the summer. I’ve also had a lot of repeat clients this year which I always love. It always makes a photographer feel like they are doing a good job when someone comes back multiple times.

I’ve had many families bring along their dogs for pictures this past year, which I always love. In one session that made me sad, a couple brought their old dog down for his last trip to the beach. They said he had been coming to the beach since he was a puppy. Even though he could barely walk, you could tell he was happy to be on the beach. My little poodle is almost 15, so I worry about how much longer she will be around as well. At the moment she is very happy and healthy, even if getting a little deaf and blind. She is always napping on her pillow beside me while I work.

I had one special session with a huge family of more than 50 people. They were taking pictures of the 110th birthday of the family matriarch! So we even had a great-great-grandchild in the group! She was even featured in a local news interview soon after I left if you want to check it out.

I had some really cute infant portraits from about 4 to 6 months old. For my style of on the beach photography, that age is a great time, when they can crawl and parents don’t mind them getting a little sandy. I had a couple of photo sessions with just retired couples coming for a fun vacation together. You don’t have to have any kids with you to have fun pictures on the beach. I hope you enjoy the pictures below. If you are planning a vacation to Myrtle Beach please let me know, I would be happy to help you make some special memories.
